BID Proposal
In February 2022, local businesses voted overwhelmingly in favour of establishing the EC Business Improvement District. This favourable outcome demonstrates a strong mandate amongst businesses to work together to lead, shape and influence a programme of activity that will position the Eastern City as an exciting and innovative destination.
Our BID Proposal sets out our strategic objectives and the projects that the EC BID will work to deliver over the next five years. This was the mandate that local businesses approved at the BID Ballot in early 2022.
The proposal is the product of substantial engagement with businesses. During summer 2021, a consultation exercise was carried out in order to gauge the views of local businesses eligible to vote in the ballot.
This Proposal has been endorsed by the City Corporation and complements the various strategic plans being implemented, such as City Transport Strategy 2019, City Plan 2036, Climate Action Strategy, and London Recharged 2025.
