Domestic Abuse Awareness Training

The Domestic Abuse Act Statutory Guidance states employers have a duty of care towards employees impacted by domestic abuse. Employers have a unique role to play in responding to domestic abuse – it can happen to anyone, and it is everyone’s business.
The training will be provided by specialist charity Hestia and will cover:
- What is domestic abuse
- How to respond to disclosures of domestic abuse – Believe, Respond, Refer Ways to respond to disclosures – not making employees domestic abuse practitioners,
- Domestic abuse in the workplace -signs, including working from home,
- How to respond to perpetrators,
- Signposting
