Festive Gonk Needle Felting Workshop

This needle felt gonk is waiting to be brought to life by your creative touch. Needle felting is a craft technique that involves using a special barbed needle to create three-dimensional felted objects from wool or other natural fibers. It is a dry felting method, which means that it doesn’t require water, soap, or traditional wet felting techniques. It’s also a great reliever! Once you’ve completed your felted gonk, you’ll have a charming addition to your desk or home decor that’s bound to make you smile.

This hands-on 1 hour session is led by artist Toshiko Kurata, member of the British Origami Society and founder of Happy Origami Wonderland. Toshiko invites you to learn all about the fascinating history of a unique Japanese tradition and explore the intricate practice of ‘Origami’ , which quite literally translates as ‘paper folding’. Participants will be expertly guided through the step-by-step process, enjoying an opportunity to create unique Christmas decorations or festive greeting cards – the choice is yours!
