Sculpture in the City: Little Art Critics TV

Little Art Critics TV

Try your hand at being a TV art critic! Join Young Film Academy, where children aged 5-12 years take the microphone and give their unfiltered reactions to the Sculpture in the City artworks, live on camera.

Inspired by Sculpture in the City, these aspiring art critics will be directed and filmed by professional filmmakers from Young Film Academy with world-class sculptures in the EC area.

Participants are invited to return to Seething Lane in the City of London at 6.30pm for a public screening on a 10-foot screen of the completed TV show and popcorn in abundance. Each participant will be emailed a link to the completed TV show after the workshop.

Saturday 17th August 11.00am, 1.00pm & 3.00pm,
Saturday 24th August 11.00am, 1.00pm & 3.00pm. Both days screening at 6.30pm.

Duration: 75 mins workshop and 30 mins screening.

Key Information:

  • Adults are solely responsible for the safety and behaviour of the child/ren in their care.
  • Please wear sensible footwear and bring weather appropriate items e.g., umbrella, water bottle etc.
  • Workshop locations vary depending on the time. Each workshop will walk to several of the SITC sculpture locations. End locations will be no more than a 5-minute walk away from the starting location. Participants will be greeted by a member of the team and checked in on site.
  • All footage shot throughout the day will be edited into a short film. This will be presented at Seething Lane in the City of London on a 10-foot screen at 6.30pm with free popcorn in abundance! The screening will finish at 7.00pm.
  • In participating in this workshop, you agree to your child/ren being filmed. This film will be used for promotional purposes including but not limited to social media and websites for Sculpture in the City.
